Customs Information and Duties
Customs and Import Fees
At Kensei Forge, we believe in transparency. This section explains how customs procedures and import fees may apply to your order when shipping to Australia.
Depending on the destination, product value, and type of goods, your parcel may be subject to import duties, GST, or customs handling fees as determined by the Australian Border Force (ABF) or your local customs authority. These charges are not included in your order total, as they are calculated independently by local authorities and remain beyond our control.
As the buyer, you are responsible for paying any applicable import duties, GST, or clearance fees in Australia. Kensei Forge is legally required to declare the full value of your order on customs documentation, and we cannot modify this value to reduce your import charges.
It is also your responsibility to ensure that the products you purchase are legal for import and ownership within your state or territory. Certain bladed items may require permits in specific jurisdictions (e.g., Victoria). You purchase these products at your own discretion and risk.
If your parcel is held by customs, they will usually contact you directly via email, SMS, or mail to advise on the next steps for release and payment of duties. If you encounter any issues or need guidance, please contact our support team at contact@kenseiforge.com — we will do our best to assist you with the process.
