Blue Dragon Katana: T10 Steel Under an Azure Finish

Plenty of themed swords are wall-hangers first and blades second. This one gets the order right. The Blue Dragon Katana is built around a hand-forged T10 high-carbon steel blade with full tang construction, then dressed in a deep blue mounting inspired by the celestial dragon that guards the eastern sky in Asian mythology. At 105 cm overall with a 72 cm blade, it sits in the classic katana range and balances well enough for basic kata work.

The Steel Comes First

T10 is a tungsten-alloyed high-carbon steel that holds its edge noticeably longer than plainer carbon grades. Differential hardening leaves a genuine hamon along the blade, so no two swords from the forge look quite the same. Order it with a sharpened edge for backyard tameshigiri, or unsharpened for display and safe handling.

Mounting Details

  • Tsuba: cast iron, worked into a coiled dragon that carries the theme onto the guard.
  • Tsuka: blue cotton ito wrapped over synthetic rayskin (same) for a grip that stays put.
  • Saya: wooden scabbard under lacquered blue, keeping the colour scheme consistent from kashira to kojiri.

Each Blue Dragon Katana is forged on demand in our partner workshop in Longquan. Allow 5 to 20 business days for the smiths to finish your sword, then tracked delivery to Australia at no cost to you. Return and Refund Policy


You have 14 days from the date of receiving your order to report an issue or request a return for an exchange or refund. Please note that customized items cannot be returned or refunded. To qualify for a refund, the returned item must be in unused condition and free from any signs of wear. Once received at our warehouse, your return will undergo a quality inspection. If approved, the refund will be processed back to your original payment method within a few business days.

Customs regulations vary by country, and your package may be temporarily held for inspection. Orders shipped via EMS, UPS, or SF Express are sent directly from our workshop and may incur customs fees, which are the responsibility of the customer.
