Some swords announce themselves with dragons and flame. The Katana Angel Wings takes the opposite road: a hand-forged T10 steel blade dressed in a calm celestial theme, made for collectors who prefer their display pieces serene rather than menacing. It is a fan-designed sword, not a licensed replica, and it sits in the accessible middle of our katana range.

Why the blade is the story

T10 is a high-carbon steel, hand-forged here into a 72 cm (28 in) blade carried on a full tang that runs the entire 30 cm (11.8 in) handle. Sharpening is optional and set by the variant you choose, so the sword can stay a blunt display piece or arrive with a working edge.

The numbers, straight from the workshop

  • Overall length: 105 cm (41 in)
  • Blade: 72 cm (28 in) long, 3.2 cm (1.2 in) wide, 0.7 cm (0.27 in) thick
  • Handle: 30 cm (11.8 in), cotton ito over a synthetic rayskin base
  • Guard: traditional iron tsuba
  • Sageo: cotton, colour-matched to the mounting
  • Construction: full tang
  • Edge: optional sharpening available

A quieter kind of guardian

Angel wings have carried the same meaning for centuries: protection, peace, watchfulness. That symbolism gives this katana a different presence on a shelf full of demon and dragon themes, and it works well in cosplay built around light or divine characters. To compare it with another T10 build, look at the Blue Dragon katana; if nothing off the shelf fits, our custom katana option lets you spec one from scratch.

Made to order for Australian collectors

This sword is not sitting in a local warehouse. Each order is forged on demand at our partner atelier in Longquan, which takes 5 to 20 business days before dispatch, then travels by tracked delivery anywhere in Australia. Duties or GST can be charged on arrival; those amounts are set by Australian authorities, not by us. Our shipping policy covers the details.

Two things buyers ask us

Am I allowed to own it in Australia?

Ownership rules differ between states and territories. Read our guide to katana laws in Australia before you order so you know where you stand.

Can I use it for cutting practice?

No. It is built for collection, cosplay and non-contact practice, and that is where it belongs.
