T10 steel is where a katana stops being wall decoration and starts being a proper blade. The Dragon Breath is built around it: high-carbon steel, full tang construction, and a fire-dragon theme that honours the legend without costume-shop gimmicks. It is a blade that earns its spot in any Australian collector's armoury.

What T10 Steel Brings to the Table

T10 carries more carbon than the steel on our entry-level blades, so it takes and holds a keener edge. Sharpening is optional and depends on the variant you choose: keep it unsharpened for display, or order a working edge. Either way the tang runs the full length of the handle in a single piece, the way a real sword should be built.

Dimensions and Fittings

  • Overall length: 105 cm (41 in)
  • Blade: 72 cm (28 in), 3.2 cm (1.2 in) wide, 0.7 cm (0.27 in) thick
  • Handle: 30 cm (11.8 in), cotton ito over textured synthetic rayskin
  • Guard and cord: iron tsuba with cotton sageo
  • Suits: display, cosplay and non-contact practice

Two Questions Australian Buyers Ask

Are katanas legal to own in Australia?

Ownership rules differ between states and territories. Our guide to Australian katana laws covers where each state stands before you order.

How does T10 compare with entry-level carbon steel?

Higher carbon content, which means better hardness and edge retention once sharpened. It is the steel we reserve for mid-range blades like this one.
