The Hekinan Katana is the quiet achiever of our mid-range line: hand-forged 1060 carbon steel, a full tang running deep into the handle, and honest fittings with no shortcuts. The name honours Japan's seaside towns, and the whole piece carries that understated coastal mood rather than shouting for attention.

1060 sits in a sweet spot for a working-grade blade: enough carbon for a proper heat treatment, enough give to forgive regular handling. Each Hekinan is hammered out by hand, so no two blades leave the forge identical. Pick the unsharpened variant for display, cosplay or non-contact practice, or have a live edge put on before it ships.

Made to Order, Not Pulled Off a Shelf

Every Hekinan is forged on demand at our partner workshop in Longquan. Allow 5 to 20 business days for the smiths to finish your blade; it then travels to Australia with tracked delivery the whole way. Customs duties or GST may be charged on arrival, and those amounts are set by Australian authorities, not by us. The finer points live in our shipping policy.

Sharpened or unsharpened, which should I choose?

Both are offered. For display, cosplay and non-contact practice the unsharpened version is the sensible pick; if you want a functional edge, select the sharpened option and the forge will handle it before dispatch.

Shipping costs are determined by the weight and dimensions of your order. To find the exact cost, simply add the desired items to your cart, proceed to checkout, and enter your delivery address to receive an accurate quote.

Return and Refund Policy


You have 14 days from the date of receiving your order to report an issue or request a return for an exchange or refund. Please note that customized items cannot be returned or refunded. To qualify for a refund, the returned item must be in unused condition and free from any signs of wear. Once received at our warehouse, your return will undergo a quality inspection. If approved, the refund will be processed back to your original payment method within a few business days.

Customs regulations vary by country, and your package may be temporarily held for inspection. Orders shipped via EMS, UPS, or SF Express are sent directly from our workshop and may incur customs fees, which are the responsibility of the customer.
