Zoro's Second Sword, Rebuilt for Collectors
Won from the zombified Ryuma at Thriller Bark, the Shusui ("Clear Autumn Water") served Zoro all the way to Wano, where it went home as the country's treasure. Ranked among the 21 Great Grade swords, it is the most famous Black Blade (Kokuto) after Mihawk's Yoru, and its red hamon over jet-black steel is impossible to mistake.
Steel and Construction
We forge this replica from 1060 carbon steel: tough enough to hold an edge, springy enough not to snap, and easier to care for than higher-carbon grades. The tang runs the entire length of the handle (full tang), and the grip is wrapped in black cotton ito over synthetic rayskin with a matching sageo cord. You pick the edge at checkout: sharpened for light cutting practice or unsharpened for display.
Measurements
- Blade: 72 cm (28 in) long, 3.2 cm (1.2 in) wide, 0.7 cm (0.27 in) thick
- Tsuka (handle): 30 cm (11.8 in)
- Full length: 105 cm (41 in)
- Tsuba: iron, flower design
- In the box: katana plus black saya with red accents
From Sword God to Pirate Hunter
In One Piece lore, the Shusui belonged to Shimotsuki Ryuma, the samurai who earned the name "Sword God" by cutting down a dragon above Wano. Long after his death, Gecko Moria stole both corpse and katana, which is how the blade surfaced at Thriller Bark and passed into Zoro's hands until he traded up to the Enma during the Wano arc. Made to Order for Australia
Each Shusui is forged on demand at our partner workshop in Longquan. Allow 5 to 20 business days for forging and finishing, then your sword travels to Australia with tracked delivery. Import duties or GST may be charged on arrival; those amounts are set by Australian authorities, not by us.
Quick Answers
Is it legal to own in Australia? Rules differ between states and territories, so read our guide to katana laws in Australia before ordering.
Sharp or blunt, which should I pick? Unsharpened is the safe display option; sharpened suits collectors who also practise light cutting.
