The Snow Run, Rebuilt for Australian Collectors

Of every sword Roronoa Zoro has carried, the Yubashiri is the one fans still mourn. This replica puts the lost blade back on your rack: full tang construction in 1060 carbon steel, 105 cm overall with a 72 cm blade, available sharpened or unsharpened.

How Zoro Came to Carry It

Yubashiri means "Snow Run", and the sword lived up to the name: strikingly light, beautifully balanced, and ranked Ryo Wazamono (Skillful Grade), a tier only 50 blades ever reached. In Loguetown, shop owner Ipponmatsu watched Zoro test the cursed Sandai Kitetsu without flinching, then handed over his family's treasured Yubashiri as a gift. Few moments in One Piece say more about respect between swordsmen.

The blade met its end at Enies Lobby, where Marine Captain Shu's Rust-Rust Fruit ate it away to nothing. Zoro carried the remains to Thriller Bark and gave his fallen companion a proper farewell.

The Case for 1060 Carbon Steel

1060 sits in the sweet spot for a blade like this. It takes and holds a working edge on the sharpened variant, keeps enough spring to resist snapping, and demands less upkeep than higher carbon steels. The unsharpened version is the same sword with a blunt edge, the sensible pick for display and cosplay.

We do not pull this katana off a warehouse shelf. Each Yubashiri is forged on demand at our partner workshop in Longquan. Allow 5 to 20 business days of preparation before it leaves the forge, then tracked shipping to anywhere in Australia.
